Cook’s Camden
Dossier at Oxford Brookes University
A celebration of architectural landmarks in social housing

Cook’s Camden was an exhibition about the legacy of Sydney Cook and his profound impact on the transformation of the London Borough of Camden.

A unique period in history when the government committed to social housing, it’s remarkable to look at how in only eight years Cook and his team created 47 groundbreaking social housing projects including iconic developments like the Brunswick Centre.

Dossier at Oxford Brookes University appointed us to create the brand identity and exhibition design. Our challenge was to try and create something as big and brave as Cook’s vision for housing in the late 60’s.

Our response was a striking identity that mirrored the designs of these historic buildings, and our exhibition layout channeled architectural press coverage of the day. Black and white photography by Martin Charles adorned the walls, along with original models, sketches and schematics of the developments.
