Imagine if the UK’s biggest airport took flight.
Heathrow City is a Transport For London commissioned proposal for how land, currently dedicated to the airport, could be used if Heathrow Airport is relocated.
Our identity played to origami, transformation and the art of re-using space and material. Visually we also worked to show what the future area might look like from the height of a commercial plane.
Working directly with TfL, the Mayor Of London and NLA we presented the work of three architect practices and their vision of how the new area could unfold.
The project was a significant step in the important ongoing debate about the future of London’s airports, and will hopefully help the general public and politicians reach a more informed conclusion.
