The past, present and future of London’s Square Mile
The Developing City was the London Festival of Architecture’s headline exhibition for 2012. NLA appointed us to create the identity, exhibition and catalogue design which filled 11,000 sq ft of retail space in the Walbrook building.
With over 50 architectural models, carefully scanned historic maps and commissioned photography our exhibition design helped present a massive amount of research in a coherent and accessible way. A large portion of the exhibition was dedicated to visualizing with projection mapping, soundscapes and immersive cinema, what London’s historic financial centre could look like in 2050.
Having survived the Black Death, Great Fire and the Blitz, the City is a fascinating part of the capital. Steeped in history, its unique architecture and open spaces are a result of the constant need to adapt and evolve.
